Our history and pedigree

Derringer Products, LLC began in 2007 as Derringer Amplifiers, born as a specialized subsidiary of American Contract Manufacturing (A.C.M.). Founded in 2001 by Phil Bernstein, A.C.M. established a reputation for manufacturing high-end audio equipment and ultra-precise components.

As a lifelong guitarist, Phil grew frustrated with the flimsy, thin-sounding guitar headphone amplifiers flooding the mass market. He knew players deserved better. To solve this, he channeled more than 25 years of rigorous design and manufacturing expertise — spanning military, aerospace, and professional audio systems — into creating a line of premium, zero-compromise guitar products.

To elevate the vision, Phil partnered with Ross Hagopian, a manufacturing powerhouse with more than 35 years of experience in aerospace design, advanced test equipment, and heavy-duty cable assemblies.

Together, Phil and Ross combine a half-century of elite, high-reliability engineering to create products like the Guitar Bullet PMA-10. By rejecting cheap digital shortcuts and focusing entirely on high-grade components and true 100% analog signal paths, Derringer Products bridges the gap between rugged durability and pristine, organic audio fidelity.

Every product sold through our authorized dealers carries a comprehensive five-year warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
